There are very few images from the Caribbean quite as spectacular as “Les Pitons” in the south of St Lucia. Like jagged teeth they soar straight out of the deep azure sea, masked by a deep green canopy so characteristic of the lush rainforests that cover this extremely beautiful island. Such an environment has created a phenomenal backdrop for some truly amazing properties, none more so than Ladera, a truly ‘green’ 5 star resort.
When designer, John DiPol, conceived Ladera, an intimate hideaway perched on a 1000-feet-high ridge between Les Pitons, he could not help but be influenced by the beauty of his surroundings. Not content with simply providing his guests with the most stunning views in the Caribbean, he did all he could to make them feel as though they were part of the view!
The simple three-wall concept he employed in the twenty seven suites and villas brings the lush tropical beauty of St. Lucia right inside the room and even the designer-eco decor has little chance of competing with their floor to ceiling panoramic views. Highly recommended for honeymooners but not suitable for small children.
Dasheene, Ladera’s award-winning restaurant, is known throughout the world for its eclectic, innovative cuisine. The restaurant welcomes guests from all over the island, who often come here for lunch or dinner to enjoy Dasheene’s unbelievable panoramic view firsthand, to sip cocktails at the Tcholit Bar, enjoy live music, and indulge in the delicacies—both local and international—that make Dasheene one of the Caribbean’s finest dining experiences.
