Located only three kilometres from the centre of Ubud, the estate, known as Tanah Gajah, takes its name from the nearby Goa Gajah elephant temple. It was designed and created in the early 1980s by Mr Hendra Hadiprana, one of Indonesia’s most prominent architects and interior designers, as a secluded hideaway and weekend retreat for his family and friends.
