Ulusaba meaning 'place of little fear' is set within the Western sector of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, bordering the Kruger National Park. The uber chic accommodation comprises two very different experiences - Rock Lodge and Safari Lodge - both of which are the epitome of luxury accommodation in South Africa, with their vaulted thatched ceilings, rich african fabrics, tribal artifacts and polished wood floors. Safari Lodge is built in a treehouse style and nestles along the banks of the dry Mabrak riverbed. It is a collection of elevated thatched cottages connected by swinging rope bridges, designed such that it has a minimal impact on the environment and allows the animals to continue to pass freely through the area. At Safari Lodge you enjoy a real sense of adventure and one of complete relaxation as you recline on your private deck or strategically placed bath tub soaking up the sights and sounds of the majestic animals, making their daily sojourn to the nearby watering hole. Safari Lodge consists of three exceptional Safari rooms, three luxury Elephant rooms and four outstanding River rooms, accommodating a maximum of 20 guests at any one time.

Rock lodge is perched 800 feet above the bush floor on the summit of a Koppie and offers phenomenal panoramic views of the vast African Bushveld and the distant Drakensberg Mountains. The accommodation consists of two new Makwela Suites, four Rock Cliff Rooms, and a stunning stand alone, split level Master Suite perfect for those wanting the ultimate romantic honeymoon. There is also The Rock Suite which comprises of two bedrooms, each with en-suite, and is ideal for those bringing children to experience the magic of Ulusaba. The key feature to the interior design of each room is the granite rock of the koppie and all are furnished with the colours of a different African tribe.
